I was really taken by this movie. I watched it, because it's one of the few Eastwood-directed movies I had yet to see, but nothing more, expecting it to be a sappy romance. The acting by both leads is incredible, the adapted screenplay is captivation for a slow-paced romance. The real clincher is the heartbreaking scene at the end.

Interesting how this movie came out the same year as "It's a Wonderful Life" as the themes are very similar. This movie, however, is much different in tone and the main character is much less likable. We have a bad-guy gangster who ends up doing the right thing in the end.

This is a sweet little film for kids and dog lovers. I enjoyed it enough and my son enjoyed it a lot more. Plus, Dave Matthews is one of the lead characters! But they don't let him sing enough.

Lily James continues to impress me and shines with likability. The story itself is fine and the production as a whole is fine enough. The picture's title ends up being a little more memorable than the movie itself.

This is actually one of Redford's best performances. What ruins is the unnecessary story between his character and the very dull Casey Affleck's character. If it just stuck with his illegal hobby, his two comrades and his new love interest the film would have been a well-paced delight.

Favorite Western Films (14 movies items)"Based on what you like here, may I recommend "Once Upon a Time in the West". It's another Sergio Leone film, and one of the best of the genre."
