Director: Safdie Brothers Their 5th Movie My 2nd movie watched from the directorsEntertainingly kinetic and effortlessly evoking, this Safdie Brothers movie paved the way for the even more kinetic and evoking movie I enjoyed more, Uncut Gems. It's been on my list for about six years now and glad I finally got to it. Not that we are supposed to, but I didn't like any of the characters, which makes it tough for me to truly enjoy. The only thing I did like about them was the love and care for each other, as brothers, even if far from selfless.Added to Lists: Top Ten Performances - Robert Pattinson For Your Brother Bank Robberies at the Movies __________ Locations: Queens, NYC, NY, USA

Director: Martin Scorsese His 35th Movie My 29th movie watched from the directorThis is a movie that will take some time sink in but, wow, it's a gut punch. When the word 'atrocity' needs to be explained this has to be a prime example. This is about pure innocence against pure evil and an incredibly unfortunate example of how the white man has ruined the land and the indigenous people of this country. On top of the powerful story that needs to be told this movie is incredibly well-made and purposefully long and brutal. People complain about the running time, but I think it needed to be this long to amplify the continuous, calculated slaughtering of innocent people, each murder, before during and after. This movie is making sure you won't forget about each person and victim. As always, Scorsese attracts the best in all facets of filmmaking and they don't disappoint.Added to Lists: Top Ten Films - Martin Scorsese (Honorable Mention) Musicians in Scorsese Movies (Isbell, White, Yorn, more...)
