Director: Tony Scott His 1st movie My 14th movie watched from the directorI'm pretty impressed with Tony Scott's first feature film. It feels and looks like 80s Michael Mann. It's incredibly 80s, but shot and acted very well. Director: Greta Gerwig Her 3rd movie My 2nd movie watched from the directorHigh production value and a stellar cast takes the source material into a beautiful world. Director: Edgar Wright His 8th movie My 6th movie watched from the directorI was very psyched to see this one, perhaps too much, because even though it wasn't bad, I left disappointed. There were a lot of creative ideas going on here but it wasn't nearly as clever as previous Edgar Wright projects. Thomasin McKenzie is really strong in the lead and Diana Ring is a force. Season 15
Sure it's too short, with only 8 episodes, but it's still full of laughs and a great multi-episode story where the gang goes to Ireland. This show is truly still hilarious, poignant, and somehow fresh after 15 seasons. This show remains my favorite TV comedy of all time. Director: Ken Russell His 10th movie My 2nd movie watched from the directorI love these kind of wild productions from the 1970s, the design, the music, the camp. I just take it in, knowing I'm not seeing a great movie but a very unique and entertaining one. Mike Myers playing a half dozen characters, mugging less-assured to the camera since his "Love Guru" days but the schtick is still all there. He has plenty of funny moments, but he couldn't quite bring back the magic of his earlier projects. Director: Marc Webb His 5th movie My 5th movie watched from the directorJeff Bridges is his usual awesomeness in this story about a young adult from a rich family having trouble figuring out his family while hooking up with a wildly unrealistically beautiful woman who is the mistress of his father... Director: Joseph Kosinski His 4th movie My 4th movie watched from the directorYou've probably heard it too much by now, but people are right, this is a movie worth watching at the theatre. It is perfect for the theatre, with a big screen and dynamic sound system. The movie itself is pretty solid. The story on itself is good, the references and throwbacks are almost too much, but never eye-roll worthy. It's also, with no doubt, better than its predecessor.
