Time to cry for our planet. Ice melting, mass migrations, walruses falling to their death because of space scarcity, deforestation, devastation... all shown with incredible images and narrated by the greatest of narrators, David Attenborough. Every living creature depends on our planet being healthy and one of the millions of its species is fucking it all up.

Director: Guillermo Del Toro His 12th movie My 9th movie watched from the directorDid we need another Pinocchio movie? No. Am I fine Del Toro took on the story? Yes. He has always been known for his memorable creatures and imagery and delivers once again. But really outside of that, nothing really wowed me in this movie. I found most of the characters grating and while the story is different from past versions it's not necessarily better. Season 1
Filmed with dark lighting, managing a dark subject matter, dark characters with dark pasts and futures. It would be a depressing show if it wasn't so good and didn't excel at keeping us interested. It's a neat trick it pulls off every episode. Never cheap, never pandering, just good storytelling and filmmaking. By the end of the season it's clear... this show is brilliant.
