Director: Gary Alazraki His 2nd movie My 1st movie watched from the directorI was fan of the 1940s and 1990s versions and this showed up for free on an airplane, so I gave it a (distracted) try. It's unfortunately drenched in cliches, tired tropes, and elementary writing. It's a movie where I felt bad for the actors as it seemed like they were really vested in this venture, somehow unaware of the product's paltry pedigree. Favorite albums. (29 music items)"Metric's "Live it Out". I've liked a few of their songs and their album, "Fantasies", overall; but didn't care for this album. Still, I wouldn't call it a 'bad' album. I still understand the appeal"

Director: David O. Russell His 9th movie My 9th movie watched from the directorI actually loved this movie. I am fully aware it wasn't well-received, but I was continuously entertained throughout. The cast, writing, unveiled story, cinematography, score, and direction is all top-notch. The one weak spot is maybe the editing, which created a couple awkward moments and the pacing could have been better. It's yet another story surrounding the Second World War and another stellar Christian Bale performance.Added to Lists: Best Movie Trios Top Ten Films - David O. Season 2
After an impressive first season I am met with a better second season. It's snappier but knows when to hold on to the important moments. It's funnier and deeper than the first season and it seems like it's done with such ease. Gervais has a gift, that cocky son of a bitch. Director: James Whale His 12th movie My 4th movie watched from the director"Old Man River", the famous song, is so beautifully directed and presented in this movie. It's the best part of the movie, sadly it's in the beginning, so it's all down hill from there. The rest shows a bunch of annoying people who don't know what they want. It's really not a bad movie overall, I just didn't care about the characters... everything else is somewhat impressive for 1936 filmmaking.Added to Lists: Best of the 1930s Musicals Top Ten Performances - Irene Dunne Best Songs Ever Sung in a Movie Ever!
