The Slaughter Rule review

Posted : 9 years, 6 months ago on 19 October 2014 06:51 (A review of The Slaughter Rule)

They should have applied the slaughter rule to this movie after the first hour. Gosling isn't bad, but the story and pacing is trying beyond entertainment.

The Princess and the Frog review

Posted : 9 years, 6 months ago on 17 October 2014 01:43 (A review of The Princess and the Frog)

Disney tried desperately to create a 2D classic and failed. It's not a bad movie, but I wasn't impressed and I don't think I would have been 20 years ago either. I would put it on the same level as Disney's 'Hercules'.

The Stepford Wives review

Posted : 9 years, 6 months ago on 15 October 2014 03:44 (A review of The Stepford Wives)

What the heeeeell is Broderick doing still employed as an actor?? Not that he ruined a good movie. This remake was just watered down and with stuffed with stuffiness and stiffness, before and after the wives' transformation.

A Liar's Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman review

Posted : 9 years, 6 months ago on 14 October 2014 05:10 (A review of A Liar's Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman)

A really funny idea with subject matter worthy of such wonderful animation. Sadly many of the vignettes fall short of a healthy amount of laughs and by the end you've had enough.
This would work better with short stories played out online.

21 & Over review

Posted : 9 years, 6 months ago on 8 October 2014 02:56 (A review of 21 & Over)

Collegiate antics abound in this silly movie attempting to save Jeff Chang. Unfortunately nothing new was brought to the genre and the characters, while not annoying, aren't going to be iconic like past in the genre... well, maybe Jeff Chang!

Olympus Has Fallen review

Posted : 9 years, 6 months ago on 3 October 2014 10:57 (A review of Olympus Has Fallen)

There are a lot of stupid and ridiculous moments in this White House take over. Luckily it has the likable Freeman and for those of you into explosions and guns there is a lot of that.

Conan O'Brien Can't Stop review

Posted : 9 years, 7 months ago on 29 September 2014 07:36 (A review of Conan O'Brien Can't Stop)

Anything O'Brien does is funny and entertaining. It's an enjoyable trip on the road and behind the scenes look at a rare type of tour. It makes me upset I didnt get a chance to see it in its short run. Overall, it's a documentary with nothing special or different to bring to the medium.

Adore review

Posted : 9 years, 7 months ago on 23 September 2014 04:54 (A review of Adore)

This soapy Australian drama has an interesting premise with decent enough acting but I didn't care enough about any of the characters and their dramatized plights.

Van Helsing review

Posted : 9 years, 7 months ago on 19 September 2014 08:01 (A review of Van Helsing)

Cheezy, cheap, and charmless BUT Kate Beckinsale brings it all back to what is at least a sometimes watchable movie.

Zeitgeist review

Posted : 9 years, 7 months ago on 16 September 2014 01:26 (A review of Zeitgeist)

It's far less showy than, say, a Michael Moore conspiracy doc. This is a fact I like, along with the movie taking us back to the root of all our issues.
However, some of the facts I cross checked weren't entirely accurate leading me to believe this is still manipulative.
Another however, it's difficult to argue against so much footage and actual facts supporting the corrupt world we live in.
And I'm all for the ending theme of "Love over Power".
